strain to see even inches ahead. You think about turning back, but fear
you could be lost for days and die in the steaming detritus on the
jungle floor. Imagine that, just when you can't take another step and
your arms and legs are burning with exhaustion, you see the dark
outline of something massive and foreboding. It is stopped, you stop.
